Believing in the Presence of the Other
Believing in the Presence of the Other. Mission, Dialogue and Witness in a Global World. is the third volume of the “Berlin edition for ecumenism, mission and dialogue”.
About the Book:
In the 21st century we are being forced to observe how violently
people can react to crises of religious and cultural identity.
But the question should not be whether people with different
cultural and religious backgrounds want to live together; we
should rather ask how coexistence can succeed in such a way
that the world may evolve in the direction of a just peace – and
also preserve the integrity of creation for future generations.
This volume of the “Berlin Edition for Ecumenism, Mission and
Dialogue” offers an English-language collection of important
essays on the subjects “Mission and Dialogue”, “Claim to Truth
and Tolerance” and the relationship between religion and state
in a pluralistic society.
